• Art Photography and Documentation Details:

For the photography of artworks, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, and installation shots, please note the following considerations:

    • On-Site Photography: Photographs taken on location may require additional planning to account for space, lighting, and the environment in which the work is displayed.

    • Studio Photography: For works in the studio, we can provide controlled lighting and backdrops to best showcase the artwork in a professional setting.

    • Installations and Install Shots: Documenting large-scale or site-specific installations may involve capturing both the individual pieces as well as the work within the context of the installation environment. This may include wide-angle shots, detailed close-ups, and documentation of the interaction between the artwork and the space.

    • Works Behind Glass: Artworks framed behind glass or using reflective surfaces may require special care to avoid glare, reflections, or other distortions. Multiple shots from varying angles may be necessary to ensure the final photographs represent the work accurately.

    • Highly Reflective/Polished Materials: Artworks made from highly reflective or polished materials (e.g., metal, glass, or mirrors) may require more intricate lighting setups and post-production retouching to eliminate unwanted reflections and ensure the details are captured clearly.

    • Additional Costs: Due to the complexity of photographing these types of works, additional costs may apply, particularly for retouching, multiple shots, or specialized techniques for capturing reflections and fine details.

If you have any specific preferences or requirements for the documentation of your artworks, please let me know, and we can tailor the approach accordingly.

  • We are committed to delivering the highest quality visual documentation. Each photograph is carefully processed to ensure the best possible representation of your artwork. Our services include:

    • Proper White Balance & Accurate Color Correction – We ensure that colors are true to life, reflecting the original tone and vibrancy of the artwork.

    • Adjustments to Brightness, Contrast, and Exposure – We make necessary adjustments to ensure the image captures the full detail and depth of the work.

In cases where multiple exposures need to be composited (e.g., for highly reflective or intricate surfaces), an additional charge may apply. However, we will always discuss this with you beforehand so that you are fully informed.

  • Photography Setup Guidelines

To ensure the best possible lighting and image quality, please provide as much room as possible on either side of the artwork for proper lighting setup. This will allow us to evenly illuminate the piece and capture all its details.

For smaller works, we are able to photograph them in sealed frames without the need to remove them. If the piece is framed with glass or acrylic, we may need to adjust the lighting to minimize reflections and ensure an accurate representation.

  • Small items that can be be removed or touched up are included, but anything that is complex, large or detailed may be an additional charge. we are happy to discuss and figure out the best solutions.
